How long can the anniversary word be?

We recommend keeping it to about 12 characters so it sits cleanly in the curved top text. First, 2nd, 5th, 10th and 25th all look great. Long written-out spellings such as "Twenty-Fifth" have to be shrunk to fit, so the numeral version reads better on the finished ornament.

Can I use nicknames or a family surname instead of two first names?

Of course. The names field prints exactly what you type, so nicknames, initials, or something like "The Bennetts" all work. Just keep it reasonably short so the script lettering stays large and readable rather than being scaled down to fit.

Does it come with a ribbon or hook?

No — there is a pre-drilled hole in the top tab, but no ribbon, string or metal hook is included. That keeps the design clean and lets you match your own tree, whether that's rustic twine, satin ribbon or a standard ornament hook.

Which size should I choose?

8cm is our most popular size for a standard Christmas tree — large enough to read both names clearly, small enough to sit naturally among other ornaments. Choose 7cm for tabletop trees or gift toppers, 10–12cm if you want it front and centre or hanging on a wreath or window, and 14–16cm for a wall or mantel display piece.

Will the printing fade or peel over the years?

The design is UV-cured directly onto the acrylic rather than applied as a sticker or paper insert, so it won't peel, bubble or yellow in storage. Wrapped in tissue and kept away from direct heat, it's built to come out of the box next December looking exactly the same.

Is it safe around children and pets?

Yes. Acrylic is shatterproof, so unlike glass or ceramic it won't break into sharp pieces if a toddler or curious cat knocks it off the branch. It's also very light, which means it hangs safely from thinner tree tips.
